Did artists create music videos before YouTube was around?

Absolutely, artists were making music videos long before YouTube came into the picture. The creation of music videos actually dates back to the 1960s, with artists like The Beatles leading the way. Then, in the 1980s, music videos truly exploded in popularity thanks to the launch of MTV, which was entirely dedicated to showcasing these visual treats. So, while YouTube has certainly made it easier for us to watch and share music videos, it's not where this art form was born. It's just another platform where it continues to evolve and thrive.
